You can define and use as many phone numbers as needed. To do so, you can create a new connection for phone number and user. Then, you can chose which one to use when creating up a Bulk Delivery or setting up your triggers and automations.
Every connection is defined by a unique API key that is generated when you create your connection, so the system knows which number should be used. An API key is secret token used to authenticate users and sets the access level depending on the identity of the individual or project making the request.
In this article, we will see how to use different phone numbers when sending WhatsApp notifications using the Respira WhatsApp Connector.
To do so, we need to:
- Create a different connection for each phone number and user in the Respira WhatsApp Connector App.
- Enter the connection API key we want to use in our triggers.
- Select a connection when launching a campaign
1.- Creating connections
You can create as many connections as you want. Each connection is linked to a phone number and a user. You created a connection when you first installed the connector; the process is the same (more information here).
2.- Using the new connection in your triggers
You need to create at least one Webhook for every phone line you have.
Then in your triggers, in action "Notify by > Active Webhook", choose the Webhook corresponding to that phone number:
More information about creating triggers and Webhooks here.
3.- Selecting a connection when launching a bulk delivery
You will find a connection selector when you upload an Excel or .csv file, before launching your bulk delivery. Once your bulk delivery is launched, the connection cannot be changed.
More information about uploading Excel or .csv files here.
4.- Connection used in single notifications
You will also find a connection selector under the Single Notifications section, that lets you choose which one to use.
More information about single notifications here.
5.- Connection used in ticket sidebar
After installing the ticket sidebar app, you will need to enter the Connection API Key as a setting. The sidebar app will use the connection defined by that Connection API Key.
See step 9 of the installation process for more details.
If you need to use several connections, then you can install the Sidebar App twice. Let us know if you need this so we can help you out.
